The first series of webinars is entitled “Building Capabilities to Improve Overall Export Readiness and Accessing the EU Market”. The series comprised four sessions aimed at providing entrepreneurs with relevant information and tools to improve competitiveness, promote growth and enhance export readiness, with a focus on the EU market. All four series of sessions were co-organized with the project’s stakeholders and partners, including the Ministry of Industry’s National Directorate for Industry (DNI), the Institute for the Promotion of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (IPEME) and the Chamber of Commerce. An overview of the structure and content of the series is provided below:
The webinar explored common aspects related to exporting, such as export plans and export sales channels, and discussed the usual challenges in exporting, such as costs, prices, quality and certification. In consultation and close collaboration with the National Directorate of Industry, the project will hold further webinars addressing more specific export requirements tailored to the needs of the majority of Mozambican SMEs.
