Last Friday, November 29, provincial delegates of the Investment and Export Promotion Agency (APIEX) took part in an intensive training session on the new Exporters Database, developed under the PROMOVE Comércio Project, implemented by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and funded by the European Union. The event, held virtually, aimed to equip participants with the skills to efficiently use the system, enhancing support for the country’s exporting companies.
The training was conducted with the collaboration of UNIDO consultants, who presented the system and highlighted its benefits in strengthening trade in Mozambique. According to Ursula Pais, Chief Technical Advisor for the project, the initiative “represents a significant milestone for the centralized and transparent management of exporters’ information, contributing to the country’s economic development.”
At the end of the training, delegates expressed optimism about the practical application of the tools presented and the potential impact of the database in supporting exports. The expectation is that the new platform will enable greater efficiency, transparency, and access to reliable information, broadening opportunities for Mozambican companies to integrate into global markets.
APIEX and the PROMOVE Comércio Project reaffirmed their commitment to continued investment in training and technological improvements to strengthen Mozambique’s business environment.
