Management systems specialist and writer Faustino José Ramos launched his book “Practical Guide for Implementing Integrated Management Systems for Quality, Safety, and Environment” yesterday in Maputo. The book focuses on the standardization and implementation of ISO international standards, aiming to support companies and professionals in adopting best practices to enhance competitiveness and compliance with global standards.
The book was co-financed by the PROMOVE Comércio Project, an initiative implemented by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and funded by the European Union. One of the project’s key objectives is to strengthen the quality infrastructure and support Mozambican companies in competing in international markets.
According to Haider Pestamgy, a UNIDO representative present at the event, the book will be an essential tool for businesses looking to implement integrated management systems and ensure greater efficiency and safety in their operations. The National Institute for Standardization and Quality (INNOQ), a direct beneficiary of the project, was also mentioned as one of the institutions that will benefit from the knowledge shared in the book.
The Importance of ISO Standards for Business Competitiveness
During the book presentation, Faustino José Ramos emphasized that many Mozambican companies still face challenges in implementing ISO standards due to the complexity of the technical requirements. His book seeks to simplify this process, making information more accessible to managers, consultants, trainers, and auditors.
“Certification in quality, safety, and environmental standards opens doors to new markets and increases business credibility,” said Faustino, stressing that the book addresses the need to adapt international standards to the Mozambican reality.
The book “Practical Guide for Implementing Integrated Management Systems for Quality, Safety, and Environment” is now available for purchase. It is an essential read for entrepreneurs, managers, and professionals looking to improve operational excellence and regulatory compliance within their organizations.
