Internal Audit Strengthens the Implementation of ISO 9001 at INNOQ, IP

The National Institute of Standardization and Quality (INNOQ, IP) conducted an internal audit on October 7 and 8 in the Department of Quality Management Training to advance the implementation of the NM ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management System (QMS).

The audit was led by Gilberto Mabjaia, a technician from INNOQ’s Standardization Division, and included the special participation of Haider Pestamgy, National Expert in Quality Infrastructure and Certification from the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), who acted as an observer.

This audit is part of a larger project supported by the Promove Comércio-Moz programme, funded by the European Union and implemented by UNIDO, aiming to strengthen Mozambique’s quality infrastructure. The initiative seeks to consolidate the implementation of quality management systems in accordance with international standards, promoting continuous improvement and enhancing the competitiveness of Mozambican institutions on the global stage.

The completion of the internal audit marks an important step for INNOQ in obtaining certification under the NM ISO 9001:2015 standard, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to operational excellence and delivering quality services.
