As part of the PROMOVE Comércio project, implemented by UNIDO and funded by the European Union, four officials from the National Institute for Standardization and Quality (INNOQ, IP) recently concluded a three-day study visit to the National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications (NRCS) in South Africa.
The purpose of the visit was to strengthen INNOQ’s capacity in Legal Metrology, especially in the formulation and administration of regulations for pre-packaged products, bringing them into line with the standards of the International Organization for Legal Metrology (IOLM). This important step seeks to improve regulatory control in Mozambique, ensure compliance with international standards and promote stronger collaboration with the private sector.
This initiative marks a major step forward in preparing Mozambique to meet international quality standards and build a stronger, more compliant industry.
